About
Painters who actually live here.
Ann Arbor House Painters is a local crew based in Washtenaw County. We paint exteriors, interiors, and decks for homeowners in Ann Arbor, Saline, Dexter, Chelsea, Ypsilanti, Pittsfield Township, Plymouth, and surrounding communities.
We started this company because we got tired of seeing homeowners pay for paint jobs that peeled within two years. The problem isn't usually the paint — it's the prep. We don't skip steps. We don't paint over peeling paint. We don't chalk our way through a job to hit a deadline.
Every job starts with a real walkthrough. We listen to what you actually want, look at the condition of the surfaces, and give you a written estimate within 24 hours. No pressure, no upsells, no surprises on the final invoice.
What we believe
Prep is 80% of the job.
Power washing, scraping, sanding, caulking, priming. The boring stuff is what makes the paint last 10 years instead of 2. Skip it and the paint peels — period.
Premium paint is non-negotiable.
We use Sherwin-Williams Duration or Emerald exterior, and Sherwin-Williams Cashmere or Emerald interior. Cheaper paint is a false economy — you'll repaint sooner.
Show up when we say we will.
If we say Monday at 8am, we're there Monday at 8am. If weather changes the schedule, we tell you the day before. Reliability is half the job.
Your home gets respected.
Drop cloths everywhere. Furniture covered or moved carefully. Trash hauled out daily. We leave the place cleaner than we found it.
Honest pricing.
Written estimates. Fixed price. No "discoveries" mid-job that magically add $2,000 to the invoice. If something genuinely changes scope, we talk to you first.
